Arthrose Craniofacial Pain & TMJ Centre
Mumbai's first Jaw Tracker-3D
The JT-3D allows the clinician to analyze jaw movement in a dynamic way. The testing includes the gathering of objective data during chewing, speaking, range of motion, and swallowing. The analysis of the pattern and speed provides tremendous insight in diagnosis and treatment planning. In short it allows the clinician to understand where the jaw is in real time during specific functions. The Jaw Tracker-3D records incisor-point movements in three dimensions. Jaw tracking can assist in designing optimal chewing patterns as well as detecting abnormal function which can aid in more accurate diagnosis. It also can assist in recording accurate, reproducible “bite registrations”.
Joint Vibration Analysis
It is used to measure abnormal TMJ function. As fingerprint is unique to individual, joint vibration is unique to each pathology. If vibrations are studied then one can identify TMJ problem without undergoing CT and MRI.
CBCT Scanner
Cone beam CT provides high resolution, volumetric images that are complete three-dimensional views of critical anatomy, allowing for more thorough analysis of bone structure and tooth orientation. The accuracy of CBCT is comparable to medical CTs but uses a much lower radiation dose. Your patient sits in a chair (as opposed to a tunnel) and the time for a dental scan is just twenty seconds. Whereas typical dental X-rays focus on a small area to produce flat, 2-D pictures, CBCT provides more complete, more accurate, and more visual imagery – allowing you to study your case more accurately and plan more effectively. Cone beam images can be duplicated and are always stored in case they are needed in the future. Cone beam CT scans offer benefits to you and your patients across the following area
T-Scans Novus
T-Scan is digital occlusion analysis system. It measures forces on teeth with respect to time. It is used to study interferences in bite. By relieving interferences the bite becomes stable. As the bite stabilises, muscles of head and face also become stable.
BioEMG 8 Leads
EMG is used to measure imbalance in muscle activity of head, neck and face. Arthrose is equipped with FDA approved EMG unit which can measure activity of 8 muscles at a time. When linked with T-Scan, it can reveal abnormal muscle activities responding to imbalance in the jaw.
QuadraTens
It is one of the only 2 ultra low frequency TENS devices approved by FDA for face and neck region. Arthrose is equipped with QuadraTENS and we use it for relaxation of muscles and nerves.
